This precious girl is Celeste. She was found and e

This precious girl is Celeste. She was found and easily caught as a stray as she was wobbly on her legs and paws by AC. Thankfully, she made her way to the DB group where she has been cared for while awaiting rescue placement.

Celeste is a special bun. She has spondylosis- a degenerative condition of the spine. She is on daily pain meds, joint supplements and Adequan injections. Despite her special abledness, Celeste is all things bunny.

Last month, Hannah who has MDF Alums Rovie (blind) and Jelly bean (who has a curvature of her spine) reached out as one of her fluffle passed and she wanted to welcome another special abled bun into her home.

We reached out to our friend Lorianne who has been caring for Celeste so that Hannah could meet her. Knowing Hannah's enormous heart and her love for special abled buns, an early Christmas Miracle was to be had.

Tomorrow, Celeste will be spayed and then transition once she is healed from a foster to adopted! The best Christmas prezzie ever. Giant thanks to Hannah for reaching out, and Lorianne for caring for Celeste until we could step in as rescue placement.

They will have wellness checks soon and be available for adoption as a bonded pair.

1232 rabbits and guinea pigs have been reacued, 10 dogs hospice, 28 dogs sanctuary, 63 dogs fostered. Please help us help us continue to help them!

We have 2 generous donors who have given us 2 -$5000 matches for a total of $10,000. As you will see here, your support has helped us to help MANY. ❤

Since 2017 when we opened our doors- we have:
* Successfully fostered 63 dogs.
*Honored and privileged to provide hospice for 10 dogs
•Provided sanctuary care for 28 dogs
•Rehabilitated dogs with medical challenges

Since 2018 when we began rescuing guinea pigs and buns- we have:
* Provided veterinary care and support to 1200 guinea pigs and rabbits, resulting in 1200 finding homes and 32 remain seeking placement as of today

We continue to:
•Collaborate with other shelters and organizations
•Provided support and chaplain to individuals, families and shelters

HOORAY for Adoptions!

Jackson spent a number of weeks at a local shelter until we had room. This little dude is busy. He is active and on the move, and, he loves people too.

Last week, Sophia reached out as she and her mom thought it was time for MDF alum Lupita to have a mate. When I told her about Jackson, she was in. What makes my heart burst is Lupita is a stunning black Rex and Jackson is a white lop lionhead mix, these 2 amazing buns have colors that often times take longer to place, unless of course, you're Sophia- then, its exacly what you want. Jackson is settling in well and charming every one in the house

HOORAY for Adoptions!

Orla and Maple (fabulous 4 buns) went from being abandoned and left to fend for themselves to 2 great homes where each darling girl is beginning the bonding process with 2 wonderful boy buns.

Molly and Mia shared pix of each girl below. We are thrilled, as this is everything we want for our buns. Meeting these families and seeing their happiness brings absolute joy. Worth every moment of rescue!

Reggie + Zip are a bonded pair who arrived this week after a while on our wait list. Both boys are under 8 months old and had their wellness exams yesterday and are available for adoption.

This little peanut is Rani. She's a 6 month old American pig. She. Is. Precious! Vet appointment on Tuesday and then available for adoption.

Shout out to her owner, who patiently waited two months on our wait list due to so many strays and slower adoptions.
