Comfort and Joy

Most of the Moon Dog Fosters have had hip (FHO), amputation, were hit by cars or are emaciated. Recuperation time is much longer as their bones and legs have suffered trauma. Orthopedic beds offer more support and comfort for those sensitive areas.
Food Puzzle

As you can imagine, an emaciated dog becomes ravenous when it is feeding time. Puzzle bowls slow feeding time down. They are very important to the healing and overall mind and body health of our fosters. Numerous small meals are key.
Keep My Belly Full

Many animals who arrive to The Moon Dog Farm have different dietary needs. With illness, emaciation, or allergies, special diets are required and needed 4-5x per day. Help us provide optimum health with food, vitamins and treats. We supplement with fresh vegetables from our garden and add rice, chicken and beef when needed too. A package of food will travel with each adoption to help with transition.
Canine Enrichment

Most Moon Dogs are restricted to little or no play and quiet cage rest while healing. This gift helps provide mental stimulation and reduce stress with a snuffle mat, towel, tin with balls and kong.
Ohm! Or WOOOF! – Reducing Stress

We here at The Moon Dog Farm believe in supporting traditional veterinary care with holistic care. Each new foster has a diffuser with customized essential oils, animal rescue remedy, and Thieves Spray. This combination reduces stress, trauma, and supports healing and clears the air as shelter animals have been exposed to kennel cough.
