Ruby came to the shelter as an owner give-up in May 2017. Thought to have had cataracts and kennel cough, this 1.5 year old pittie mix was gravely ill with systemic Blastomycosis (fungal disease). Highly expensive and very painful, it takes months and in some cases, over a year to treat if the dog survives, as 50% of dogs diagnosed will die. We are pleased to share, Ruby is kicking blasto butt! Here are photos of her now and when she arrived. She will spend her life here at The Moon Dog Farm.
