- Luna the Dog
Luna came into the shelter after being hit by a car- emaciated, with road rash, hip, leg and pelvic injuries, confining her to crate rest. Our first task was getting some weight on her tiny body with small meals, 4-5x per day. After a couple weeks, she was strong enough to have her hip/leg surgery. She is recovering well, and taking short walks to strengthen the muscles 4x per day. Luna loves the pack of The Moon Dog Farm as they her, too. Our next task is getting her socialized with people as she is very afraid, yet opening up more and more. We are committed to her healing both physically and emotionally- however long that takes.
Update:
On July 6, 2017 Luna went to the Rainbow Bridge. She will always be our guiding light here at the farm.
